Public and private television channels have refused to run the election advert of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) ahead of local elections on March 31.
Prepared to be aired on TV, the video starts with the question, "What did these hands see?" and continues with the sentence "We have suffered agony, we have paid prices, but we have never given up." The video ends with the slogan, "Raise your hands for democracy."
Video shared on HDP's official account
After the video, which was sent to TV channels for a fee, was not aired by the channels by consensus, the HDP has stated that an embargo is being placed on the film and shared the video on its social media accounts with the hashtag #EldenElePaylaşalım (Let's share it from had to hand).
