The Ministry of Health reported 232,253 new coronavirus cases and 380 deaths between August 1 and 7.
While the number of cases dropped by nearly half in a week, the number of deaths increased compared to the previous week. The country's official death toll reached 100,058.
Some 447,132 people recovered from the disease in a week, and the total number of cases now stand at 16,528,070.
