No Acquittal for 4 Signatory Academics in 2nd Hearing
Attorneys have demanded acquittal of peace declaration signatories Esra Mungan, Meral Camcı, Kıvanç Ersoy and Muzaffer Kaya in the second hearing, the court adjourned the hearing to December 22.

20 Signatory Academics Suspended from Anadolu University
20 academics who signed the declaration entitled “We will not be a party to this crime” have been suspended from Anadolu University. Of the suspended, Assist. Prof. Dr. Uğur Kara and Assist. Prof. Dr. Pelin Yalçınoğlu have commented on the implementation.

Çilem Doğan Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison
The court has by a majority vote passed the sentence on the case of Çilem Doğan put on trial for killing her husband inflicting violence on her. The chief judge has noted that Doğan had acted in self defence and put the annotation on the verdict that she should thus be acquitted.
