Journalists from 18 countries are in solidarity solidarity with arrested Özgür Gündem Editors-in-Chief on Watch.
The journalists gathering in Germany for program of immigration and integration have delivered solidarity message from Dresden.
They demonstrated their support to their colleagues in Turkey with the banner reading “Journalism is not a crime”.
Names of the journalists are as follows: Isal Angeles Gonzales (Mexico), Chritstelle Assamene Awoin (Ivory Coast), Andrej Ban (Slovakia), Kasamakorn Chanwanpen (Tailand), Rafael Diaz Oscar (El Salvador), Gabriel Teodor Giurgiu (Romania), Kim Harrisberg (South Africa), Sotirios Ioannou Ionnais (Cyprus), Daniel Kaiser (Czech Republic), Nikolay Khalabuzar (Kazakhstan), Beyza Kural (Turkey), Aron Kuthi (Hungary), Filips Lastovskis (Latvia), Ki Hun Lee (Korea), Gilbert Ngabo (Canada), Veronika Vishnyakova (Russia), Vu Ho Diep (Vietnam), Elli Zotou (Greece).
RSF Turkey Representative Erol Önderoğlu, Turkey Human Rights Association (TİHV) Chair Şebnem Korur Fincancı and journalist author Ahmet Nesin were arrested on June 20 for acting in solidarity with Özgür Gündem daily. (NV/BK/TK)
