HDP Co-Chair Demirtaş stood trial today as part of the trial in which he is tried on charge of “insulting president”.

HDP Co-Chair Demirtaş will be taken to court tomorrow for the first time following a 14-month detention.

HDP’s imprisoned Co-Chair Demirtaş has said, “In order to keep going with a fresh excitement, I want it to be known that I am not going to be a candidate for Co-Chair”.

Evaluating the Constitutional Court rejecting Demirtaş’s application, HDP MP Meral Danış Beştaş has said, “The Constitutional Court is now a part of the executive. It is forced to work by executive power’s order and instructions”.

The court has ruled continuation of arrest of HDP Co-Chair Demirtaş who has been tried on 31 summaries. The next hearing is on February 14.

HDP MP Baydemir has submitted a parliamentary inquiry with respect to Ministry of Justice sending a note calling HDP’s imprisoned Co-Chair Demirtaş “militant” to court.

The Inter-Parliamentary Union consisting of parliamentarians of UN countries has become a party to case of arrested Co-Chairs and MPs of the HDP that was brought before the European Court of Human Rights.

HDP Co-Chair Demirtaş’s story book entitled “Seher” hasn’t been allowed into Diyarbakır Prison on the pretexts of “it is not a course material, and it might lead to a cipher and uncontrolled communication”.

The ECtHR has granted the requests of Council of Europe's Commissioner for Human Rights Muiznieks, ARTICLE 19 and Human Rights Watch to become a third party in the trial of HDP Co-Chairs Demirtaş and Yüksekdağ.

According to Anatolian News Agency (AA), 99.83 percent of ballots are open in country-wide, the counting of votes outside Turkey is complete for the 12th Presidential Elections.
