İstanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was discharged from hospital today (November 2) following a 10-day Covid-19 treatment.
Speaking to reporters before leaving the hospital, Ekrem İmamoğlu said he will stay in quarantine at home for four more days.
He said antibodies have formed in his blood, according to results of tests carried out in the morning and they were waiting for the result of a PCR test.
He didn't have any Covid-19 symptoms other than fever he said: "I came [to the hospital] with a high fever and had that high fever for four days. Then the high fever was replaced with normal fever but our treatment process continued. Everything was under control, I did not experience any other problems or symptoms than fever."
He called on people to comply with the mask, distance and hygiene rules.
İmamoğlu also said that he will visit the western province of İzmir, which was hit by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake on October 30, after his quarantine days are over.
"This process has once again reminded us that the most important issue for Turkey and İstanbul is the earthquake," he said, adding that the country should focus on the issue.
