At least 141 workers have lost their lives, according to a report by Worker Health and Occupational Safety Assembly. 131 of them were men whereas 10 were women.
At least 1,421 workers lost their lives in the first six months of 2016.
At least 115 workers died in January, 144 in February, 160 in March, 171 in April, 124 in May, 205 in June, 160 in July, 201 in August and 141 in September.

At least 124 workers died in September of 2013, 152 in September of 2014, 177 in September of 2015 and 141 in September of 2016.
By causes
37 workers died due to traffic, shuttle accidents, 26 workers died due to falling, 17 workers died due to heart attack, 12 workers committed suicide, 9 workers due to electric shock, 9 workers died by other causes (lightning, hydrophobia, cerebral hemorrhage, unidentified), 8 workers died by armed attack, 3 workers died due to explosion, burning, 2 workers due to an object falling, hitting, 1 worker died by poisoning, drowning.
