Young people in Turkey feel weary, confused and lonely because of the pandemic, according to a survey conducted in May by Ipsos market research company.
Respondents were asked "How are you feeling lately?" with the answers "tired, weary, confused, sad, worried, lonely, frustrated, angry, happy and hurt."
Apart from "worry," all other feelings were more common among the people aged between 18-25 than the country average of people older than 18, showed the survey.
Fifty-six percent of the youth feel "tired," 52 percent feel weary, and 37 percent feel confused, according to the survey results. Forty-two percent of all respondents said 35 percent of young people said they were "worried."

When it comes to economic problems, the youth are as worried as other age groups, found the survey. Seventy-nine percent of the youth and 82 percent of all respondents said they were "partly or very worried" about paying the bills.
Also, 93 percent of the youth and 95 percent of all adults said they were worried about the increase in the price of products and services.
Fifty-two percent of the youth said they were "hopeful" that current pandemic measures would work and 40 percent said they would not work. (RT/VK)
