The İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İMM) has announced that it has bought bulgur wheat, traditional noodles (erişte), chickpeas, beans, rice, honey and olive oil from the cooperatives in Anatolia and it will give these food products to the İstanbulites who are in need of food aid.
Sharing a brief message on his Telegram account, İstanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has said, "We are trying to do good things. For both İstanbul and Anatolia... Olive oil and bulgur from Hatay, noodle and chickpeas from Kırşehir, beans and rice from Çanakkale, honey from Sivas... We will make sure that these products that we have especially bought from women's cooperatives will reach the ones in need."

Speaking in the video shared by İmamoğlu, İmranlı Women's Initiative Cooperative Chair Hatice Yiğit has said, "İmranlı is a small place. Women are having financial hardships. It was really important for us for this reason." Kırşehir Women's Initiative Cooperative Chair Emel Ersin has also stated, "We can, therefore, enjoy it together that we help our economy and our women as well as the people who are in need, as a social service."
