BirGün daily reporter, journalist Zeynep Kurali who was detained yesterday (October 26), was released after being deposed by the prosecutor on the same day.
Kuray was taken into custody by police from the Anti-Terror Department who raided her apartment at around 10 p.m. and was taken to İstanbul Security Directorate.
Pointing to her alleged postings on Facebook, she was accused of "propagandizing for a terrorist organization", her room was searched and her computer and her mobile phone was seized in the search.
Her attorney Tamer Doğan, speaking to bianet, stated that the search warrant shown to them pointed to "Facebook posts" as the ground for the accusation. Doğan underlined that previously such documents used to point to "social media posts" as the ground for similar investigations. (EA/DG)
