Brazilian caricaturist Carlos Latuff has announced on his Twitter account that President and Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s lawyers filed a complaint to Twitter for access block.
Latuff shared the decision of access block issued by courts in Turkey upon Erdoğan’s demand.

“Erdoğan’s lawyers are imposing legal pressure on Twitter for 80 themes in which 11 of my caricatures are included, which is a direct attempt of censorship. Is this what Turkish democracy? Why doesn’t Erdoğan want Turks to access my caricatures? What is Erdoğan afraid of?”, Latuff wrote.

Carlos Latuff (born 30 November 1968) is a Brazilian freelance political cartoonist. His works deal with an array of themes, including anti-Zionism, anti-globalization, anti-capitalism, and anti-U.S. military intervention. He is best known for his images depicting the Israeli–Palestinian conflict and the Arab Spring events.
In 2006, Latuff placed second for his cartoon comparing the West Bank barrier with the Nazi concentration camps, in the Iranian 'International Holocaust Cartoon Competition'.
