Child abuse was protested in the football matches played by Beşiktaş and Ankaragücü in Super League and by Amedspor and Kastamonu 1966 in 2nd League of Turkish Football Federation (TFF) at the weekend.
During the match between Beşiktaş and Ankaragücü, the fans fell into silence in the first minute of the match and did not cheer.
In seeing this, the players also did not touch the ball in the field, supporting the protests of their fans.
Both fans of Beşiktaş and Ankaragücü participated in this protest and they started cheering for their team as of the second minute of the match.
In the match between Amedspor and Kastamonu 1966 in Diyarbakır Stadium, Amedpor entered the field carrying the banner "Children keep silent, but you shoudn't!" The fans of Amedspor also supported their team, chanting the slogan "Don't let children die, let them come to matches."
After the referee blew the first whistle of the match, the fans of Amedspor fell into a minute of silence to protest child abuse.
Amedspor previously punished for saying 'Don't let children die'Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK) gave a 25-thousand Turkish Lira fine and ordered Amedspor to play one match without spectators after its fans cheered "Don't let children die, let them come to matches" during the Amedspor-Başakşehir match on January 28, 2016. Then, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced that the Amedspor fans would not be allowed to watch the Turkey Cup quarter-final match with Fenerbahçe.
