Indictment Prepared Against 7 Journalists

The indictment has been prepared against seven journalists four whom are arrested for covering Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak’s emails hacked by Redhack.

Prepared after 187 days, the indictment was sent to the 29th Heavy Penal Court.

Closed Dicle News Agency (DİHA) News Director Ömer Çelik and reporter Metin Yoksu, Diken former news editor Tunca Öğreten, Etkin Haber Agency (ETHA) Managing Editor Derya Okatan, BirGün Accounting Supervisor Mahir Kanaat, Yolculuk Newspaper Managing Editor E.S. and Die Welt newspaper’s correspondent to Turkey Deniz Yücel are listed in the indictment.

Çelik, Öğreten, Kanaat and Yücel are under arrest as part of the investigation. (EA/TK)
