Detention Order for Employees of the Closed Fatih University Detention order has been issued for 172 employees including academics of the Fatih University that has been closed through a statutory decree.
State-run Anadolu Agency (AA) and Doğan News agency have reported that the detention order was issued as part of an investigation carried out by İstanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the "Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ)" upon claims that the 172 were users of ByLock, an encrypted communication software allegedly used among the members of the Gülen Community.
The news agencies have reported, that 54 people were taken into custody within the operation carried out in 29 provinces of Turkey.
15 universities were closed

15 foundation universities were closed through the first statutory decree enacted on July 23, 2016 in the wake of the July 15 coup attempt.
According to the statutory decree, the ground of the closures are "ownership by and relation to the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization/Parallel State University (FETÖ/PDY) that was cofirmed to me a risk against national security".
Fatih University was among the 15 closed universities as well. (BK/DG)
