Various NGOs and political parties in Turkey joined a watch-duty to protest the ISIS attacks in Kobane, Syria.
With the initiative of HDP, around 800 people arrived in Suruç district near the border with Kobane with 15 buses.
While a delegation was formed to visit Kobane, the delegation visited Kobane Canton Prime Minister Enver Müslüm and other officials.
“Kobane and Rojava revolutions will absolutely triumph. We have observed such a solidarity and determination among the fighters, politicians and people. They also expressed that the resistance we started here was very meaningful and have them strength. They send their salutations,” HDP Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ said.
The delegation included the following: HDP deputies Ertuğrul Kürkçü, Levent Tüzel, HDP members, co-chairs of HDK constituents ESP Chair Sultan Ulusoy, SYKP Co-Chair Tuncay Yılmaz, EMEP Chair Selma Gürkan, SDP Cahir Rıdvan Turan, YSGP Co-Spokesperson Sevil Turan, ÖDP Co-Chair Bilge Seçkin Çetinkaya, EHP Chair Sibel Uzun and Halkevleri Vice Chair Samut Karabulut.
CHP delegation also visited Kobane
On the other hand, a CHP delegation including CHP Vice Chair Veli Ağbaba also crossed the border to visit PYD and canton officials. Deputy Mahmut Tanay said they will release a report regarding their observations.
Continuing their watch-duty for 10 days, the people on the border resume their protests against ISIS with a human chain. (NV/BM)
