Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca answered the questions of journalists about the PCR scans at schools and possible vaccination of children aged younger than 12 against COVID-19 at the Parliament.
"The vaccination of children aged younger than 12 is currently not on our agenda," told Koca reporters. Announcing that "they got the first results of the random PCR tests at schools," Koca said, "We have seen that the rate among the children in school age is not very high unlike the society."
Sharing further details about the preliminary results, Koca stated, "We have seen rates ranging from 1.1 to 5.9 at some schools. I would like to reiterate that there is no situation to be concerned about."
Koca was also asked a question about the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. In response to the question, "Is a third dose necessary after Biontech? If yes, when and for whom," Koca said, "One of the issues to be on the agenda of the Coronavirus Scientific Advisory Board will be this tomorrow."
Affiliated with the Health Ministry, the Coronavirus Scientific Advisory Board is expected to convene today (November 3). (RT/SD)
