A long cortege was formed in Syria’s Afrin region by women coming from cantons of Kobane, Rojava and Jazira on March 8 International Women’s Day. It was learned the women in the neighboring cantons celebrated Women’s Day on March 6-7 to be able to go to Afrin on March 8.

The Afrin, Jazira and Kobanî cantons were first established under the Constitution of Rojava in January 2014.
