An earthquake at 11.00 was felt in different places in İstanbul.
It occurred in 9.8 kilometers deep Marmara Sea, near the shores of Silivri district and had a magnitude of 4.7, according to data of Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute at Boğaziçi University.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) has announced that it recorded a 4.6 magnitude earthquake at 20.18 kilometers of distance to Silivri.
The Kandilli observatory recorded another earthquake near Silivri at 10.30 a.m., with a 3.1 magnitude and 6.8-kilometer depth.

A large earthquake is expected to occur in the Marmara Sea within decades.
