Berlusconi Seeks a Media Group in Turkey

Italian Prime Minister Berlusconis media group Mediaset announced that they were looking for media groups in different countries, including Turkey, for making investments.

The CEO of Mediaset, Marco Giordani, said that Mediaset was looking for a media group to buy, in Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Turkey.

Moreover Giordani stated that Mediaset's Spanish partner Telecinco will open to public in the summer of 2004.

Mediset is the leading media group in Italy. It has 60% of advertisement incomes of total advertisement pie in Italy and 45% of ratings in TV sector.

Meanwhile Rupet Murdoch who had never invested in continental Europe, is preparing to invest in Italy. (YE)
