Unofficial election results announced by state-run Anadolu Agency were protested last night due to Supreme Election Board’s (YSK) decision to accept unsealed ballots in many cities.
The protests, which started on the referendum night (April 16), witnessed statements for the press, marches, and banging pots and pans.
10 people who staged protest with pots and pans were taken into custody. Police intervened in the protesters in Ankara, 14 people were detained.
People took it to the streets in many districts, especially in Kadıköy, Beşiktaş and Bakırköy.

According to a report by Eyüp Kelebek from the Doğan News Agency (DHA), a group of people consisting of predominantly university students chanted slogans "No to presidency" in Yeni Bağlar neighborhood. Following the police warning to disperse, the started to walk in the side streets.
Police made another disperse call to the group coming to University street and intervened in the group. 10 people including Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Eskişehir Tepebaşı Central District President Emina Kaya were taken into custody.

According to Alparslan Çınar from the DHA, the group rallied in front of Üç Kapılar wanted to issue a statement for the press.
Police called for disperse on the grounds that the demonstration was "unauthorized".
Riot squad forces used pepper gas, 14 people were detained.

Rallying in front of Süreyya Opera building at 7:30 p.m. in Kadıköy district of İstanbul, thousands of people marched towards Moda with a banner reading "This Election is not Legitimate, No, We've Won".
The Supreme Election Board issued a statement for the press in front of the Ballot Collection Center.
Gathering on Kartal Square in Beşiktaş, people marched on the streets of Beşiktaş. The group that attempted to go to the Taksim Square following the march was confronted by the police. (BK/TK)
