Written statement of Hakkari Governovership said curfew declared in Turkey’s southeastern Yüksekova district on Novermber 20 was lifted as of today at 6 a.m.
The announcement as to lifting the ban was done via mosque speakers and armored vehicles.

Two people killed
Two people named Mehmet Reşit Arıcı and Naim Nuyan lost their lives in the operations launched during the curfew.
Thousands learning the bodies were brought to the district and wanted to attend the funeral gathered on Şemdinliyolu street. Police attacked on the group with pepper gas, pressured water and plastic bullets.
Yüksekova residents last night gathered on the streets and made noise-protest by hitting pots and pans they brought from their homes. Police intervened in this protest too with pepper gas.
About Yüksekova
Yüksekova is one of three districts of Turkey's southeastern province of Hakkari. It is located on the junction of Tukish-Iranian-Iraqi border.
According to census in 2013, the population of center is 67,000, and the district population is 116,327.
