Way of High Tribunal To Former P.M.

If Parliament approved the decision of the investigation commission, former Prime Minister Mesut Yilmaz and state minister Gunes Taner will stand trials at the High Tribunal Court in connection with the embezzlement in the Turkbank bid.

Both politicians will face a prison sentence of 10 years Each.

If the general assembly of Parliament produces 276 Yes votes, then the two men will be on trial at the High Tribunal Court.

Mesut Yilmaz will be the first Turkish Prime Minister facing the high tribunal court.

The general assembly of Parliament is expected to tackle the issue at the end of the month. (YE)
