According to data based on reports in local and national newspapers and news agencies, a compilation made by bianet revealed that male perpetrators left 13 women killed, 10 (including young girls) raped, 20 injured and 15 harassed in May 2013.
In 2013 so far, male violence left 97 women killed, 97 raped, 127 battered ad 110 sexually harassed.
3 women were killed despite former complaints. A man who was formerly prosecuted and recently benefitted a probation from his 5 year prison sentence, another attempted to kill his wife during her sleep in May 2013.
A rape victim woman has allegedly been overturned from two hospitals in Ankara saying that they “didn’t want to get involved”.
In 2013 so far, male violence left 63 women killed, 61 raped, 98 battered ad 83 sexually harassed.
In April 2013, male perpetrators left 17 women and 2 men killed, 13 (including young girls) raped, 13 injured and 13 harassed.

* In Batman province, N.B. (46) murdered his third wife Gülşen Ertuğrul (20) with a pistol and surrendered to the police.

* In İzmir province, M.Y. murdered her son-in-law Z.Y. with a pistol, saying that he was eating her daughter.

* In Antalya province, İ.K. (31) and his friend abducted his ex-spouse H.B. (25) with a car and raped her in a deserted place. The woman filed a complaints against the two men who were later on arrested.
Harassment
* In Ordu province, M.T. (20) harassed H.Ç. (25) in a park. The woman filed a complaint. M.T. was released under judiciary control measures.

* In Konya province, M.A. (20) assaulted his father A.A. (42) with a knife, saying that he was beating his mother.

* In Zonguldak province, E.A. sexually harassed İ.A., his daughter’s friend. Police detained E.A. after İ.A. told the incident to her family.

* In Mersin province, S.A. murdered his pregnant cousin Gülistan Askay (15) who was initially forced to marriage and then wanted to divorce.

* In Aydın province, K.A. (33) attempted to murder his spouse G.A. (24) claiming that she cheated on him. Chasing her on the street, K.A. assaulted her with a knife as she fell on the floor. Police stopped K.A. with firing in the air. K.A. was released later on.

* In Antalya province, B.B. (40) raped his neighbor’s daughter L.A. (16) in her apartment.

* In Samsun province, karate instructor Z.K. (41) sexually harassed his student Z.S. (12).

* In Adana province, Z.A (16) who ran away from home to religiously marry her lover and then became subjected to domestic violence, committed suicide.

* In Antep province, F.A. murdered his lover Perihan Deler (19) by cutting her throat open.

* In İstanbul province, a bar staff in Tamirci Karaköy sexually harassed Z.E.H. (26) a customer. Later on, he reportedly dragged her from hair and threw a bottle at her face.

* In Çorum province, R.B. (34) murdered journalist Sevtap Elmas (24) saying that he didn’t respond to his love request. It turned out that Elmas applied to a court for protection, which caused R.B.’s close observation for 15 days by the police previously.

* In İstanbul province, a soccer player reportedly assaulted his home-visiting friends G.Ö. and D.Ç.

* In Antep province, S.K. (36) murdered his uncle Murat Aksu (43) with a pistol, saying that he was harassing her. She surrendered to the police after the incident.

* In Trabzon province, 8 men reportedly abducted a 14 year old teenager girl and raped her for two days prior to the compulsory military drafting of one. While police captured 6 suspects, two were arrested and another on the chase. Military authorities were also notified on the drafted suspect.

* In İzmir province, H.C. brutally murdered his ex-lover Sibel Özkişi by cutting her throat and smashing her head with a stone. It turned out that she had previously filed three complaints to a police station for threat, a process that ended with H.C.’s release each time. Authorities assigned a bodyguard whose duty period expired shorty before the incident. She allegedly declined for extension of protection.

* In İzmir province, high school teacher S.A. showed porn movies to two of his student and sexually harassed them. Education ministry authorities launched an investigation on S.A.

* In Kayseri province, it turned out that İ.K. (65) has raped his granddaughter E.G. (23) for the past 10 years. Prosecutors charged İ.K. with “qualified sexual abuse”.

* In İzmir province, R.A. raped a 15 year old mentally disabled teenage girl. Police captured R.A. upon his wife’s complaint.
* In İstanbul province, gynecologist C.K. reportedly raped a patient who suffered from vaginismus. A court arrested C.K.

* In Ankara province, petty officer A.Ö. (44) murdered his wife Figen Özaslan (38) with a pistol after threatening her due to her domestic violence complaint to a police station. Following the incident, A.Ö. committed suicide.

* In Samsun province, N.A. (33) assaulted his wife B.A.(30). Police detained N.A. upon her complaint.

* In Iğdır province, Y.T. (34) raped K.Ö. (17) who ran away from home. It was reported that he also forced her to prostitution. A court arrested Y.T. for child abuse, deprivation of one’s freedom and forcing and arranging prostitution.

* In İzmir province, M.D. (55) murdered his wife Emine Demirci with a rifle. It turned out that she was hospitalized 20 days before the incident due to domestic violence. M.D. surrendered to the police after the incident.

* In Kayseri province, a man reportedly drove his car toward his wife and attempted to run her over. Police detained the man. His identity was undisclosed.
* In Antep province, H.G. battered his wife Ş.G., saying that he lost his 100 liras. He also assaulted his daughter M.G. with a knife. Police detained H.G.

* In Samsun province, C.O. (24) attempted to rape his lover P.B. (16) in an empty building. A court arrested C.O.

* In Siirt province, A.K., murdered his niece C.Ö. (18), saying that he sexually harassed his wife C.Ö.’s family reportedly burnt down A.K.‘s apartment.

* In İzmir province, M.G. (40) poured down on his sleeping wife Ş.G. (27), saying that she came home late. He also assaulted her and attempted to strangle her. It turned out that M.G. subjected his wife to domestic violence and received a suspended prison sentence of 5 years. While she was hospitalized in ICU, a court arrested M.G.

* In Sakarya province, T.Y. murdered Sevim Kahyaoğlu (18) with a pistol, saying that she refused his relationship proposal. He also murdered her mother Yasemin Kahyaoğlu (35) with a pistol, wounding the grandmother and aunt. After the incident, T.Y. committed suicide.

* In İstanbul province, a 15 year old teenager girl stabbed D.E. to death with the help of a relative. She claimed that he has raped her since she was 11.

* In İzmit province, Ş.K., sexually harassed Ş.K. (20) on a bus ride. Police detained Ş.K.

* In Kayseri province, A.T. attempted to rape a woman by breaking into her apartment. The woman defended her with a knife.

* In Denizli province, M.Ö. (22) murdered his sister Nazmiye Sönmez (21) with a knife.

* In Antalya province, G.A. (23) assaulted N.A.Y with a knife, leaving her severely injured. It turned out that N.A.Y. turned down G.A.’s relationship offer.
* In Çanakkale province, N.Ç. assaulted his ex-wife Y.E. with a knife. After the incident, he surrendered to the police.
* In İzmir province, T.A. (39) assaulted his ex-lover E.K. (26) with a knife, leaving her severely injured. The woman reportedly had a life-threatening medical condition.

* In İstanbul province, B.T. (50) sexually harassed 7 female students of his by threatening with low grades. Police detained B.T.
