Having been kept in for almost two years in prison, politician Gültan Kışanak written a book on women’s struggle in political parties.
Answering the IMPNews’ questions from prison, Kışanak said that she made interviews with imprisoned MPs and mayors via letter for her book, which she completed in one year.
Kışanak stated that she told women’s struggle in political parties which continue tradition of the People’s Labor Party (HEP).
Having served as MP in 23rd and 24th parliamentary terms, Kışanak was arrested when she was Diyarbakır Metropolitan Co-Mayor from the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) along with the other Co-Chair Fırat Anlı on October 25, 2016.
Kışanak was arrested on charge of “being a member of an armed illegal organization” on October 30, 2016. (ÇT/TK)
