In the local elections, polls closed as of 5 p.m. and the voting ended. Those who entered queues before this time will be able to cast their votes.
For 57 million voters in 81 provinces cast their votes at 167,140 polls. 461 polls have been set up at prisons.
Voting ended at 4 p.m. in 32 provinces
Voting ended at 4 p.m. in the following provinces:
Adıyaman, Ağrı, Artvin, Bingöl, Bitlis, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Erzincan, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Hakkari, Kars, Malatya, Kahramanmaraş, Mardin, Muş, Ordu, Rize, Siirt, Sivas, Trabzon, Tunceli, Şanlıurfa, Van, Bayburt, Batman, Şırnak, Ardahan, Iğdır, Kilis and prisons in these provinces.
In other provinces, polls closed at 5 p.m.
As the voting ends, counting begins.
According to a statement by the Supreme Election Council (YSK), reports, estimates and comments regarding the elections are banned on the radios and every kind of broadcast organs.
Between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., the media will only be able to report the news and declarations that are issued by the YSK.
All restrictions will end at 9 p.m. although the YSK may decide to end tha ban earlier.
YSK ended the broadcasting ban on 7 p.m.
