1 Village Guard Loses His Life in Diyarbakır

During an operation launched in the Baraj (Dam) base area in the district of Silvan in Turkey's southeastern province of Diyarbakır, an armed conflict erupted between the security forces and the members of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party).

One village guard has lost his life and another village guard has been wounded in the attack. (AS/SD)
