The Human Rights Association (IHD) Diyarbakır Branch made a statement regarding sentencing of the Mayor of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, Selçuk Mızraklı, to more than 9 years in prison once again in the retrial. The statement emphasized that Mızraklı was elected with 62% of the vote in the local elections in Diyarbakır on March 31, 2019.
