Mukhtar’s Certificate of Election Cancelled As His Prison Sentence for Child Abuse Upheld
The prison sentence given to Topbaş, who was elected the head of a neighborhood (mukhtar) in Denizli in March 31 local elections, has been upheld by the court of appeal. Convicted of child abuse, Topbaş’s certificate of election has been cancelled.
