Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation against 600 people as part of the investigation that was launched into Gezi Park protests in 2013. The office issued an indictment against 120 people and sent to the court.

Access to the Sendika.Org news website has been blocked for the 62nd time by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK). The website has announced that the authority has lifted the access block today.

Former HDP MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder has submitted himself to prison in Kocaeli after the 42-month sentence, which was given to him because of a speech that he made on Newroz Day in 2013, has been upheld by the court of appeal.

15 students, who boycotted their classes for a day in protest of the harassment of a teacher at their high school, have been given five-day suspension from their school.

Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Dunja Mijatovic has stated that some laws adopted in Turkey for struggle against terrorism have made life impossible for some people in the country.

According to the report of the Council of Europe, the prison population in Turkey rose by 220 percent between 2005 and 2015. The length of imprisonment also increased by 153 percent.

An arrest warrant has been issued for journalist Can Dündar on the allegation that he took active part in the Gezi Park protests.
