Entries, exits banned in 22 areas of Şırnak province for 3 days

The Governor's Office of Şırnak has banned civilians from entering or leaving 22 areas between the districts of Cizre and Silopi in Turkey's Kurdish-majority Şırnak province for a period of three days.
The ban imposed to "provide national security" has been in effect as of 6 p.m. yesterday (July 13) till 12 a.m. on July 16 in following areas:
Cudi Mountain, Büyük Dağ, Yayla Tepe, Gâvur Tepe, Mameliyi Spring, Deriyedülü Tepe, Havolehavşi Tepe, Deviyeozga Sırtı, Ganiyesinak Brook, Dalgaduriyi Tepe, Kemal Brook, Kösreli Neighborhood, Kurtik Tepe, Koyunören Village, Üçkardeşler Tepe, Ezmin Tepe, Bişi Yaylası, Damlaca Neighborhood, Kamışlı Sırtı, İsimsiz Tepe, Düz Tepe, Çimenli Tepe.
Statement of the Governor's Office
In the statement released on the official website of the Governor's Office, it has been noted that the ban in question has been imposed "with the aim of providing national security, protecting public order and safety, preventing the committal of crimes and safeguarding others' rights and freedoms."
Accordingly, the Office has announced that "from (including) 6 p.m. on July 13, 2020 to (including) 12 a.m. on July 16, 2020, entries-exits and all civilian activities have been banned for a period of three days" in the abovementioned 22 areas. "Our citizens are prohibited from entering the related areas within the indicated time period without permission for their safety of life and property," the Office has indicated further. (TP/SD)
