Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım has given information of the government’s activities at the “First Hundred Days of the 65th Government” evaluation meeting.
Speaking at the Çankaya Mansion, Yıldırım commented on the Resolution Process for the Kurdish question and discussed the financial damage incurred in the recent clashes:
“The damage inflicted by the terror organization [PKK], these traitors, is much greater. They caused a loss of 10 billion dollars with those ditches and holes. We will cover the cost of those damages within three years”.
Bozdağ: 33,838 convicts released
Upon being asked by Yıldırım how many convicts had been released, Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ said that as of last night (September 1) the number was 33,838.
"There will be no resolution"
Yıldırım, emphasizing that the Government would not make any concessions in terms of protecting domestic security, went on as follows:
“There will be no resolution [process for the Kurdish question]. The resolution is in the citizens. They missed that opportunity. We, with the citizens’ help, will detect these traitors among us. We will save our Kurdish citizens from these troubles, because these terror organizations do not have the Kurdish question on their agenda. In the big cities, we have taken this problem under control to a great extent.
“We are in no way accepting any weaknesses on this subject”. (HK/TK)
