The HDP has filed a criminal complaint upon Minister of Interior Soylu’s statements against HDP co-Chair Demirtaş on charges of “defaming” and inciting people to animosity and hostility”.

HDP Co-Chair Demirtaş has been sentenced to 5 months in prison on charge of “Insulting Turkish nation, Republic of Turkey and its institutions and bodies”.

The delegation consisting of Filiz Kerestecioğlu, Saruhan Oluç, Mithat Sancar, Ertuğrul Kürkçü, Osman Aydemir and Reyhan Yalçındağ submitted an application to the ECtHR yesterday.

Having heart spasm last week, HDP Co-Chair Demirtaş has been taken from Edirne F Type Prison to Trakya University Faculty of Medicine Hospital and undergone a medical examination.

HDP Co-Chair Demirtaş has said, “What is the harm in one of Öcalan’s attorneys having a brief meeting in İmralı?” in response to Minister Bozdağ saying “There is no problem with PKK Leader Öcalan’s security”.

A bill of indictment has been drawn up demanding up to five years in prison for HDP Co-Chair Demirtaş and the HDP Ankara MP Önder on charges of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization”.

HDP Co-Chairs Demirtaş and Yüksekdağ have been summoned by Ankara Public Prosecution to testify by instruction.

HDP Co Chair Demirtaş has criticized Erdoğan’s statement that “It will continue until doomsday”; called on the political parties in the parliament to stop the attacks.
