Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has fined FOX TV and Halk TV for “inciting the public to enmity and hatred.” Accordingly, FOX Prime News Bulletin cannot be broadcast for three days and the “Halk Arenası” program on Halk TV for eight times.

The Radio and Television Supreme Council has approved the regulation which foresees an extensive supervision and censorship on online radio and TV broadcasts. Prof. Dr. Yaman Akdeniz has said, “Turkey can be the first country to ban Netflix.”
