Question on ‘war crimes’ returned to MP because of ‘personal opinion’
HDP MP Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu submitted a Parliamentary question regarding the UN report documenting the war crimes and rights violations in Syria. The MP’s question has been returned to him on the grounds of “personal opinion.”

According to a recent report released by the Tigris-Euphrates Journalists’ Association (DFG), 79 journalists were detained, 24 journalists were arrested and 43 journalists were sentenced to 150 years, 15 days in prison in total in 2020.
