8th anniversary of Gezi: We remember the deceased with a demand for justice
In the lawsuits filed into the killing of eight people during the Gezi resistance of 2013, the defendants were given “judicial fines”, they were “acquitted” or given “good conduct times.” No lawsuit has been filed into the death of Ahmet Atakan.

Having rejected the individual application of Osman Kavala, the Constitutional Court has concluded that the 7-month arrest of Yiğit Aksakoğlu in the Gezi trial was a violation of his rights and ruled that Aksakoğlu shall be paid damages.

Announcing its ruling in the sixth and final hearing of Gezi trial, the court has ruled that the files of the defendants currently abroad shall be separated from others. The court has ruled for the acquittal of all remaining defendants of all charges.

Constitutional Court Ruling on Machete Attacker: Police Didn’t Act with Due Diligence
The Constitutional Court has ruled that police officers did not act with due diligence in responding to the machete attack during Gezi Resistance. The journalist wounded in the incident will be paid 32,500 lira in non-pecuniary damages.
