After the Ministry of Interior has announced that Diyarbakır, Mardin and Van Metropolitan Mayors have been removed from office to be replaced by governors as acting mayors, the official websites of the metropolitan municipalities in question have been closed.

As Diyarbakır Metropolitan Mayor Selçuk Mızraklı, Mardin Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Türk and Van Metropolitan Mayor Bedia Özgökçe Ertan have been removed from office, on the websites of their municipalities are statements such as "Under maintenance" or "At your service soon".
