The Free Syrian Army (FSA) backed by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) has announced that it has seized control of Syria’s al-Bab from Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Commanded of the opposition Sultan Murad Brigade comprising Turkmans Ahmed Otman said, “We declare that we’ve liberated the entire al-Bab. We are now carrying out minesweeping in the area, “the AFP reported.
According to a report by the state-run Anadolu Agency (AA), Otman said, “The opposition forces are in control in al-Bab now. We are proceeding with caution because of mines and explosives but the city center is under the control of the opposition forces”.

Operation Euphrates Shield started on August 24, 2016 and headed towards al-Bab at the beginning of December. The operation reached depth of 35 kilometers into Syrian land from Turkish border.
