Russian President Putin has declared that a truce agreement between Syrian government and opposition has been reached.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Çavuşoğlu has declared that they will name the street where Russia Embassy in Ankara is located after Russia’s Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov, who has been assassinated in Ankara.

President Erdoğan and Russia’s Leader Putin have said that assassination of Andrey Karlov, the Russia’s Ambassador to Turkey, is a provocation against Turkey-Russia relations.

Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Zakharova has declared that Andrey Karlov lost his life.

In response to Erdoğan’s statement of “putting an end to Assad governing”, Peskov has said “This is a very serious statement. This contradicts with our understanding as the only country whose armed forces are legitimately present in Syria”.

As to EU 2016 Turkey Progress Report, the Minister of EU Çelik has said “We don’t accept the expression that disproportionate force has been used in fight against PKK terror organization. This expression is a certificate of disgrace for EU institutions”.

The 2016 Turkey Report has stated that there are backslidings in freedom of speech, judicial independence and practice of democracy.
