Explaining that purpose of Turkey’s military offensive into Syria is to “put an end to Assad’s governing” two days ago, Erdoğan today said that their target is not a country or a person.

In response to Erdoğan’s statement of “putting an end to Assad governing”, Peskov has said “This is a very serious statement. This contradicts with our understanding as the only country whose armed forces are legitimately present in Syria”.

As to EU 2016 Turkey Progress Report, the Minister of EU Çelik has said “We don’t accept the expression that disproportionate force has been used in fight against PKK terror organization. This expression is a certificate of disgrace for EU institutions”.
