In a joint statement, Human Rights (HRW) and ARTICLE 19 call on the authorities in Turkey to immediately release Yüskedağ and Demirtaş, the arrested former Co-Chairs of the HDP, and other former HDP MPs behind bars for over four years.

Charged with “terror propaganda” and “being a member of the organization” for meeting arrested former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş in prison, lawyer Levent Pişkin has been acquitted of all charges.

The İstanbul 3rd Civil Court of First Instance has rejected Cumhuriyet's appeal against the public ad cut imposed by the Press Advertisement Agency (BİK). Relying on this rejection, the Agency has cut the newspaper’s public ads for 28 days.
