The Group of the Unified European Left at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has nominated imprisoned HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş for the Václav Havel Human Rights Prize 2017.

An additional seven days of detention has been issued for the human rights advocates who were taken into custody at training meeting in Büyükada in İstanbul.

On his Twitter account, CHP MP Salıcı has announced that “Koray Çalışkan has just been detained from his home. The legislative intention is not clear, one more time academic whose address is known hasn’t been summoned to testify”.
