Rights defender, journalist, and doctor dismissed from the medical profession by executive decree Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu has been sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for one of his posts on social media.

Former Agos Weekly Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Dink was marked on 11th death anniversary in front of Agos building where he was murdered.

Osman Kavala has sent a message to Agos via his lawyers due to the 11th anniversary of Hrant Dink being murdered: “The bullet that cut you off from life has left us alone with an example of a terrifying fatal malignancy”.

Hrant Dink is being memorialized in İstanbul and Ankara with a series of events. Some roads have been closed to traffic in Şişli for the memorial service to be done in front of Agos weekly newspaper building.
