Those to attend May 1 Labor Day demonstration in Maltepe has departed. The participants will come to the area from three sides.

The Union of Actors and Actresses has made a call to the May 1 Labor Day with a video, where the members of the union have stated, “On May 1, we will not be at movie sets, theaters stages or studios, but at squares” and read out the poem “We Will See Beautiful Days.”

Barriers have been brought to roads leading to İstiklal Street and Taksim square, which will be closed on May 1. Labor organization will hold the May 1 meeting in Maltepe.

Demonstrations were staged in 30 cities across the world for Sur and Hasankeyf on April 28, Global Hasankeyf Demonstration day. Protesters opened stands and carried banners in cities such as Berlin, London, Stockholm.
