Coming together in the 32nd year of “March Against Beating” in İstanbul, women have expressed solidarity with jailed journalist and writer Ayşe Düzkan: “We remember our past to build our future; the future will be ours, the future will be woman.”

METU students have boycotted classes to protest the interference towards their university and the police violence in the 9th Pride Parade on May 10, 2019. Students have also made a call to METU President Verşan Kök to resign from office.
