Women Demand Equal IDs for Turkish Men and Women
Representatives of national and international women's organizations demand the elimination of gender-based differences regarding indications on Turkish IDs. IDs for man and women should have the same colour, fields for religion and marital status should be eliminated, they request.

17 defendants stand trial regarding a weapons cache found in Poyrazköy. The Istanbul 12th High Criminal Court accepted the indictment despite the Constitutional Court's recent cancellation of the law regarding military staff being tried at a civil court.

Municipalities Protect Women with Collective Labour Agreement
Implementing the collective labour agreement, a Diyarbakır municipality employee had to pay half of his salary to his wife because of violence imposed to his family. Agreements of more than 40 Turkish municipalities contain similar regulations to protect and promote women.
