President Erdoğan Insists on ‘Denaturalization’

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in his statement he made following Friday prayer has spoken as to “denaturalization”, insisted on his initial opinion.

Prime Minister Davutoğlu had said with respect to the matter that “According to our legislation it is not possible to denaturalize a citizen because of his/her relation with terror. It has not been added to the agenda yet”.

Erdoğan as to the subject spoke as follows:

“They are already seeking another form of statelessness or another state. They need to be sent to those places.

“Because there can’t be treason against Turkey, Turkish homeland, Turkish nation in citizenship of Republic of Turkey. They are in betrayal against this nation, this country, Republic of Turkey.

“I don’t approve the ones who are in betrayal to be citizen of Republic of Turkey”. (AS/TK)
