Kocaeli University Students: Lecturer Yücel Demirer is not Alone

The pressure starting with prosecutions and detentions against 1,128 academics and researchers from 89 universities signing the peace declaration has intensified by threat messages hung on work offices at various universities.

In the note left on Assistant Prof. Dr. Kemal İnal and Assistant Prof. Dr. Betül Yarar working at Gazi University, Faculty of Communication signed by “Gazi Communication Ultra-Nationalists”, the academics have been threatened. It has been learned that a similar incident took place in Kırıkkale University. A threat note has been left on the door of two academics signing the declaration.
