6 governors in Turkey's Kurdish-populated cities issued curfew in the following cities/districts until a second notice: Diyarbakır, Batman, Dargeçit, Derik, Kızıltepe, Nusaybin, Mazıdağı and Savur.
The curfew was issued due to clashes between police and demonstrators over the Kobane protests. The order was effectuated "until a second notice".
Mardin marked the first city to issue a curfew in its districts of Dargeçit, Derik, Kızıltepe, Nusaybin, Mazıdağı and Savur at 17:00 local time.
Later on, Van Governor's Office also issued a similar curfew in the district of Erciş at 18:00 local time. Police intervened protestors with tear gas and water cannons as well as rubber bullets.
Siirt became the third city to issue a curfew in its district of Kurtalan.
Later on, a curfew was imposed in Diyarbakır from 22:00 to 07:00 next morning.
Lastly, curfews were imposed in Batman (schools went on holiday) and Muş's Varto district (for tow days).
