Füsun Erdoğan, a bianet writer and former coordinator of Özgür Radyo who has been facing trial to life sentence within MLKP case, has been released from prison.
"I can't find a word to express my feelings. On one side there is spring and on the other side there is fall. This is how we leave everything behind," she told bianet.
"This morning. Mr. Irfan, the prison supervisor, called me to his room. He wanted to give the news himself. I learnt about [my release order] there. Then I called my sister Şengül. I told her the news.
"It was a very unfair trial process. If the Suppreme Court of Appeals ratified the verdict, I would go to the other side with a debt. [Erdogan expressing her sarcasm], It was indeed very hard to be away from my beloved ones and face so much injustice. But I also left behind a 23 year long friendship in the prison. On one side we had a beautiful garden and on the other side we had fall. Leaving behind my prison friends felt like that," she said. (EA/BM)
