According to data based on reports in local and national newspapers and news agencies, a compilation made by bianet revealed that male perpetrators left 15 women killed, 16 (including young girls) raped, 19 injured and 18 harassed in June 2013.
In 2013 so far, male violence left 88 women killed, 77 raped, 117 battered ad 91 sexually harassed.

* In Muş province, two men battered a woman in a shopping mall. Upon her screams, security guards arrived to the scene. Instead of dealing with aggressors, he reportedly told the woman to stop shouting. * In Ankara province, 3 women refuges into an apartment during Gezi Resistance. As women went out again, police reportedly showed up and verbally harassed women, making sexual threats about batons.

* In Düzce province, R.Ç. murdered his wife Elif Çakmak with a knife after meeting her in a hotel room for compromise.
* In Erzurum province, U.K. (29) murdered his sister Havva Kabak (18) with a rifle.

* In Nevşehir province, E.S. (22) attempted to rape D.P. (88) in her apartment. Caught by police, he was arrested.

* In Izmir province, police detained high school teacher S.T. in suspicion with drunkardly harassing 4 students. Detained upon students’ complaints, S.T. was released for pending trial by a court. Education ministry assigned an inspector to investigate the case.

* In Trabzon province, Ö.S. (17), M.N. (19) and M.N. (17) raped two teenager girls (13) in a picnic venue. 3 suspects have been arrested.

* In Iğdır province, A.D. (43) shot his wife Fatma Doğar (39) and Yakup Taha (24) dead in the middle of the street. Surrendered to the police, A.D. said he did it for “honor”.

* In Istanbul province, a group of unidentified men who presented themselves as Gezi Resistance protestors assaulted Z.D., a woman with a headscarf. In her complaint letter to the prosecutor, she wrote that she was insulted and sexually harassed. After the incident, Muslims Again Violence Against Women Initiative marched in Kabataş province with slogans “Those who touch headscarves are not from us” and “Stop harassment, continue the resistance”.

* In Izmit province, H.Y. (36), a driver who called women to his car to ask for addressed and flashed his sexual organ, has been arrested by the police. Previously, N.Ç.(39) filed a complaint to the police regarding the incident.

* In Antalya province, M.K. was confronted by a group of Gezi Resistance protestors as he attempted to beat his wife in the middle of the street. “Isn’t she my wife? I can beat or love her at my convenience,” he said. A protestor intervened. M.K. attacked the protestor with a knife. Beaten up by Gezi Park protestors, M.K. was transferred to governor’s office and then to a nearby hospital. An investigation was launched on the issue.

* In Izmir province, a group of gangsters reportedly met with 19 foreign women via social media and brought them to Turkey for various employment-related reasons. Women were forced to prostitution.

* In Adana province, a woman reportedly chased away her daughter who was to join Gezi Resistance. She initially pulled her arm away from the crowd and then battered her.

* In Antep province, A.K. (32) murdered his separated spouse Şükran Karakuş (32) with a knife. He surrendered to police authorities after the incident.
* In Istanbul province, İ.A. murdered his wife Gönül Aksu whom he wanted to compromise. It turned out that a court issued a restraint order on İ.A. He attempted to commit suicide after the incident. It was reported that his condition was still critical.

* In Konya province, M.B. attacked his daughter F.B. (30) with a knife at her husband’s apartment. It turned out that a court issued a restraint order on M.B. after having beaten his wife and son-in-law. M.B. ran away as his daughter-in-law arrived.

* In Erzurum province, N.Y. sexually harassed B.Ö. who was on her way to cram school after getting off a bus. Police launched a search on N.Y. after B.Ö.’s complaint.
* In Kars province, Y.G. sexually harassed S.T.B., a tourist woman. Gendarmerie detained Y.G. after S.T.B. filed a complaint to a prosecutor.

* In Mersin province, F.Ö., H.Ç., M.D. and M.B. separated a couple who were arguing on the street. “How come you upset our sister-in-law?” they asked the man. They convinced A.K. (30) to get into their car for “giving her a ride back home”. Instead, they took her to the woods where F.Ö. raped her. The group abandoned her in the middle of a highway afterwards. F.Ö. and M.D. have been arrested upon the woman’s complaint. H.Ç. and M.B. were released pending a trial.

* In Samsun province, İ.Y. (39) raped D.K. (32) whom he called for cleaning. A court arrested İ.Y.
Murder
* In Ağrı province, S.D. (23) murdered his wife Dilan Doğan with a knife and buried her in the woods. After the incident, he told the woman’s family that “their daughter went missing”. He surrendered to the police three days after.
Suicide
* In Istanbul province, N.T. (28), who left her husband due to domestic violence, committed suicide after her family convinced her to go back home but her husband still battered her.
25 June
Murder
* In Kocaeli province, Y.U. murdered his spouse Sabiha Uğuz (54) with a shut gun after locking up his son and daughter-in-law in a room. He committed suicide after the suicide.
* In Konya province, H.B. (49) murdered his spouse Dudu Bayar with a rifle. He also caused his daughter G.K. (25) injured in the leg as she attempted to stop him.
Rape
* In Balikesir province, Y.U. (25) and A.Ş. (24) stormed up an apartment with shut guns and raped A.E. (60) and A.Ö. (50). Suspects were arrested after the incident.
Threat
* In Antalya province, M.K. found and threatened his spouse E.K. (21) who fled to a women’s shelter due to domestic violence. Later on, she was sent to a women’s shelter in Trabzon province. However, M.K. found her again and continued his treats. Along with all other prosecutions, the woman filed another complaint on the husband.

* In Adana province, L.Ö. (46) attempted to murder his ex-spouse S.D. with a knife. He also attacked another man and woman, leaving them injured.

* In Konya province, A.A strangled his wife Emine Aydın (36) and daughter Tuğba Aydın (15) with a laundy rope. He committed suicide after the incident.

* In Izmir province, Y.D. (32) raped a woman friend after meeting up. He reportedly raped in a minibus. Samples were collected from the woman’s body. Y.D., on the other hand, was released pending a trial.
Harassment
* In Istanbul province, police subjected 7 female Gezi Resistance protestors to naked search and reportedly harassed them. Prosecutors launched an investigation.
* In Trabzon province, U.Ş. (22) sexually harassed D.K. (17) on the street. A vacation court arrested U.Ş.

* In Izmir province, Y.D. (32) raped his friend S.E. in a car. The incident revealed itself as the car made a collision. Y.D. was released pending a trial after his testimony.
* In Istanbul province, O.Ş. handcuffed N.E. (34) - a pedestrian on the street - and took her to a carpenter’s workshop where H.K. and O.Ş. scared the woman with police scanner sound app on the smartphones. After that, they raped her. Detained by the police after the woman’s complaint, rape suspects were released within judiciary control measures.

* In Maraş province, Ş.Ç. cut the nose of his spouse İ.Ç. (28). While the woman was hospitalized, Ş.Ç. ran away.
* In Izmir province, police battered Gezi Resistance protestors B.Ç., D.D., C.D., B.Y., Ö.A., H.B., M.C.T., A.N.Y. and A.M.
Rape- Harassment
* In Zonguldak province, O.A. (17) threatened Y.A. (14) whom he met online and acquired her nude photos. He called her to his apartment and raped her. Having heard of the incident, İ.E. (23) blackmailed her mother, saying that he was going to go public with photos unless she slept with him. Upon the woman’s complaint, O.A was arrested for “threat and child abuse through blackmail” and İ.E. was arrested for “threat and blackmail”.

* In Istanbul province, S.G. (32) murdered his divorce-seeking spouse Muhterem Göçmen (31) at the hairdresser’s where she was working. It turned out that Muhterem Göçmen complaint on the spouse and a court issued a restraint order two months ago. He reportedly continued to harass her despite the order. S.G. was once released after submitting testimony to a prosector.
